Here at RPG Planet, we pride ourselves in happy people, happy hermits, and okay nerds. (Sorry, nerds, you're too hard to please.) To accomplish this, a planet must have rules. These are the general rules that apply to both using these forums and role playing here. If you are unable to comply with our rules, well, then you might as well leave now. So let's get right into the rules!!
1. Play nice
1. Play nice
- Please try to get along with with everyone in these forums. This isn't the place to stir up trouble and that will only lead to bad things, and you'll find yourself in a bad spot with the mods. If someone is giving you a hard time, instead of fighting back, tell a moderator and we'll take care of it for you. You can get back to your normal life here at RPG Planet
2. No swearing
- It might be the norm for you to being swearing up the wall for you and the characters you rpg with, but it's not the norm for some people. Please refrain from using any swear words and if you have a problem with this rules, please by all means talk to a mod and we'll set you straight with a bar of soap.
3. No power-playing
Can you think of any more, Jup?
No, I think that pretty much sums it up. We can add anything if it needs to be addressed.
- What this means is that you try to make your character this amazing, unstoppable person who is a god next to everyone else's. Or if you're in a fight scene and everyone else's character is bruised and your character is some awesome ninja who can't be hurt by anything. I hate to break it to you, but everyone gets hurt even the best. If you want to have your character be this amazing thing, write your own book.
- If you wouldn't want yo grandma readin' this, then you shouldn't write it.
- Now, when I say this, you can write that "Jim also followed" to move the plot, but when you do: "Jim followed and then turned to look at Scarlet. "I hate you, you know"." that's a big no no. Because what if the other person doesn't want Jim to hate Scarlet? This isn't your book. You only play your characters and that's it. If there's something that you think will make the plot cooler but involves another person's character, message them with your idea and see what they think before you go all: "Jim turned to look at the group with a wide smile. "Hail Hyrda." before taking out a gun and starting to shoot at them."
- Fair or not, this is an English language forum, and our moderators need to understand what they are seeing if they are to be expected to moderate it. If posting content in another language on this site you will need to accompany that post with an English translation. Anything posted in a foreign language without an accompanying translation is subject to removal by a staff member.
- I get it, sometimes you forget to write one of your characters, I feel ya bro. So if that happens, feel free to post again. This applies to when you've posted and you're like. "Eh, I want more. Need to add more." and you post again.
